Recruiting Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Make hiring decisions by conducting in-person interviews.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting cycle.
- Effectively recruit from digital platforms (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Facebook, etc.) and build relationships with face-to-face recruiting sources like local colleges and universities, trade schools, etc.
- Facilitate orientation and arrange additional training for staff.
- Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for fully digital onboarding experience.
- Develop and oversee HR programs/policies to attract, retain and motivate caregivers. This includes hosting hiring events, creating employee recognition/rewards, cultural enhancements, training and coordinating employee events.
- Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for staff and bi-monthly billing for clients.
- Assist in identifying company policy violations and resolving performance issues.
- 2+ years of experience working in a Human Resources (HR) role. Preferably experience in a recruiting role hiring hourly workers in high volumes.
- Associate degree minimally required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal employee relations, wage and hour and labor laws (including but not limited to OSHA, EEO, FMLA, etc.) to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Strong organizational and communications skills with ability to supervise employees.
- Willingness to fill shifts as a caregiver personally when needed and serve as “on-call” caregiver.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities in other disciplines as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle.

Touching Hearts at Home has been supporting older adults in Southwest Boston since 2021. We provide in-home care for the elderly. Our services include light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, safety oversight for clients with dementia or physical challenges, social companionship and assistance with hygiene tasks like showering and toileting.
