ComForCare Home Care | Toronto
30 hours per week | 6 hours a day, 5 days a week
We are looking for a special person to spend time with a delightful, young-at-heart gentleman in his 80s who still has plenty of enthusiasm for life!
He loves birds, nature, walking, music, singing, and his trombone lessons. He also has a special love for Canada's East Coast.
We are hoping to find someone who shares his curiosity about life, enjoys good conversation, has a wonderful sense of humour, and is always up for a little adventure!
Could This Be You?
- You're warm, outgoing, confident, and easy to talk to.
- You're mature, grounded, and comfortable taking the initiative.
- You're a good listener who is genuinely interested in other people's stories and experiences.
- You enjoy going for walks,, exploring, and trying new things
- You're patient, flexible, and able to go with the flow.
- You understand that supporting someone with cognitive impairment requires kindness, creativity, and the ability to meet them where they are.
- Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy people and know how to make an ordinary day a great one!
What's the Role?
Spending time together, enjoying walks, sharing conversations, exploring interests, encouraging activities, and bringing friendship, laughter, and companionship into his day.
While an understanding of cognitive impairment is important, we're looking for the right personality and connection rather than a long list of credentials.
If you're young at heart, have a natural way with people, and believe that laughter and good company make life better, we'd love to meet you!
