About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team in Chalmette, LA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of clients by delivering personalized, one-on-one care right in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutritional monitoring
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain a safe, clean living environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all home health care protocols
Requirements:
- Active CNA certification in the state of Louisiana
- Previous experience in home health, long-term care, or a similar caregiving setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a home care environment
