About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our growing team in Metairie, LA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized, in-home care that promotes independence and dignity. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and tidying living spaces
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure client safety
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities
- Maintain accurate care logs and documentation of daily activities
Requirements:
- Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience preferred
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
