About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in Milton, ON. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing essential in-home care and support. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, PSW, or in a related caregiving role preferred
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass the PSW, Home Health Aide Assessment
- Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to client homes
