Senior Helpers of Northeast Wisconsin is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide one-on-one care for clients living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia throughout the Appleton area.

We are looking for individuals who understand the unique challenges of dementia care and can provide patience, reassurance, consistency, and compassionate support. Caring for someone with dementia requires more than assisting with daily tasks—it requires empathy, understanding, and the ability to create a safe, comfortable environment where clients can continue living independently at home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate one-on-one care for clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being
  • Provide calm reassurance and redirection during periods of confusion or memory loss
  • Help maintain consistent daily routines that support safety and independence
  • Observe and communicate any changes in a client's condition to the care team
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is strongly preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references
