What You'll Do

As a Home Care Caregiver, you'll provide individualized, one-on-one support that promotes independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities may include:

• Building a trusting and meaningful relationship with the client
• Encouraging independence while providing appropriate assistance
• Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
• Supporting routines, hobbies, and community involvement
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Providing transportation and accompaniment to activities when needed
• Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment
• Monitoring the client's well-being and communicating updates with the care team
• Providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Down syndrome is strongly preferred
• Experience with developmental or intellectual disabilities is highly valued
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Previous caregiving experience preferred
