Do you enjoy helping others and taking the lead in providing exceptional care? Senior Helpers is seeking a professional, experienced, and dependable Lead Caregiver to support our senior clients while guiding quality care during daytime shifts.
Position Overview
As a Lead Caregiver, you will provide hands-on care and companionship to senior clients while ensuring care plans are followed with consistency and dignity. Clients may require assistance with daily activities while families are at work or school.
Lead Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care per Plan of Care
- Serve as primary contact for clients and families
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Support mobility, transfers, and Hoyer lifts
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and engagement
- Assist with transportation and errands
- Maintain documentation and safety standards
- Comfortable working in homes with pets
Required Qualifications (ALL REQUIRED TO MOVE FORWARD)
- Active PCA or CNA certification
- Ability to treat clients with dignity, respect, and professionalism
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level
- Ability to understand and follow a Plan of Care document
- Reliable and reachable by phone and email for schedules, updates, or emergencies
- Valid U.S.-issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
- Reliable transportation (ability to drive or use public transportation)
- Ability to adapt, multitask, and handle new situations calmly
- Pass a criminal background check before employment
- Willingness to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Experience with dementia care and senior care strongly preferred
- Spanish-speaking candidates welcome (Se habla Español)
