A Better Solution In Home Care is looking for a lead caregiver for an Independent Living facility that loves 1 on 1 caregiving and is able to manage seeing multiple clients in a day. This person for this position needs to be have the skills to be able to communicate with families regarding care . The ideal candidate for this position is very detail oriented and organized with a high level of adaptability and dependability.
This job would require occasional driving for appointments or errands and will include occasional pet care such as feeding an animal, walking a dog or managing a cat pale.
Setting: Independent living facility visiting multiple clients with mostly light care needs. Typical tasks include medication reminders, bathing and dressing, transporting to meals, light housekeeping, pet care, assistance with exercises and walking. Occasionally more hands on care will be necessary.
Schedule: Monday through Friday time approximately 7am to 12pm with more days and hours potentially available. This schedule is approximate, and is subject to change as client need increases or decreases. We will guarantee at least 20 hours per week, though it may often times be more.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active HCA or CNA
- Willing to cover on weekends/evenings as needed
- Based locally with a manageable commute
- Comfortable with pets (walking dogs, changing kitty litter, etc.)
- Able to drive clients and/or run errands for them
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and documenting on a home care platform
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and calmly navigate adversity
- Provide reliable patient care
- Document and track time spent on each client
- Communicate with clients and their family members as needed while on shift
- Assisti with caregiver onboarding and provide general support for the caregiving team ensuring care is consistent accross shifts
- Communicate with the office as needed and at least once weekly to ensure proper care and stock of supplies
- Scheduling client care visits with assistance of Care Supervisor
- Ensure documentation is timely and accurate
- Fill in when for call outs office is unable to find other fill in staff
- Participate in staff meetings and other related activities as needed
- Particiate in markting activities to promote services within the building
- Create and maintain a professional atmosphere that is also a fun place to work
- Minimum age requirement of 18
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of related experience. Healthcare experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional telephone AND written étiquette
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
