Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living: bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encourage engagement in activities.
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding if required.
- Medication reminders, as instructed and assist with basic health monitoring.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Escort clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
- Observe and report changes in client conditions to the care team.
- Document services provided and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Assist with administrative tasks (scheduling, data entry) when caregiving hours are light
- Opportunities for advancement into team leadership roles
- Participate in training and professional development sessions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification (required and verifiable)
- Experience in caregiving is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and basic technology.
- Residing in the service location/ nearby surrounding locations or willing to relocate before starting
- Reliable personal transportation means and willingness to travel to the service/ nearby surrounding locations
- Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
- Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
