Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on care and emotional support to children with developmental challenges
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and mobility support
- Implement behavior and communication strategies as directed by therapists or parents
- Engage children in interactive, sensory-friendly activities
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities (professional or personal). Yes, babysitting counts!
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Patience, empathy, and a desire to work with children
- Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) with the State of California or at least willing to register.
- CPR & First Aid certification is a plus but not required
