Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs and GNAs who bring their passion to work. Looking for a caregiver with Dementia and Diabetes experience - Shift details Monday thru Wednesday - 7:00am - 6:00pm and Sundays from 9:00am or 10:00am for 6 - 8 hours.... (39 - 41 hours per week)

Qualifications:
- Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current CNA license
- Must be a Medical Technician
- Experience working with Dementia clients
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
- Must have current doctor's medical health clearance to work, which includes a negative TB Test.
- Must be a pet lover (Cats and Dogs) - No pet care required

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Personal Care (Standby for assistance)
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Monitor glucose levels and report physical and behavioral changes
- Assist with medication reminders
- Engage the client in conversation and activities

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

I worked at Home Helpers of Bourbonnais for 5 year and it was by far the best job I’ve had. The owner is very invested in her business and truly cares about her staff and Clients. The office staff is very professional and does a great job managing. As a caregiver you can have as many or as little hours as you wish. Schedules do change but that’s only when the clients need changed. I also had an updated care plan for every client and I was able to assist with making sure that my clients had the best care as my shift ended. Supervisors are not at every clients house all the time but they are very involved and always reachable.
