Lovely elderly woman in Northampton needs your help. Her family would greatly appreciate your assistance. She has Alzheimer's Dementia and her family wishes for a caregiver to walk with her to her meals, activities, and in good weather outside walks. She also needs some cueing for personal care. I'm certain when you have a connection and a trusting relationship, that she would be so responsive to your gentle suggestions. They would love to be introduced to her "Angel" as soon as possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Must have at least 1 year of professional Elder Dementia Care
* Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and an acceptable MRV check
* Provide at least 2 - 3 Professional References... Not Friends
* Willing to submit to Background Checks
* Must be Reliable & Punctual, Caring and Patient
* Strong ability to speak, read, write, understand & elders must be able to understand you in English.

Compensation: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

We service Southampton, Westfield, Southwick, Holyoke, West Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, Springfield, Indian Orchard, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Ludlow, Feeding Hills and Montgomery. The franchise covers the entire Greater Springfield Area and most of the Lower Pioneer Valley region.

Visiting Angels of West Springfield has official accreditation from the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts. We have also received Home Care Pulse’s award for Best of Home Care - Provider of Choice every year since 2015.

Basic job requirements include:

Current US driver’s license
Car
1 year of caregiving experience
Ability to pass a background check
Strong ability to read, write, and speak English, including:
- Read ADLs and personal care instructions
- Communicate verbally with clients and families
- Write shift notes to update the family, office, and other caregivers
Punctuality and reliability
Compassionate and caring heart
Patience and willingness to learn new skills

*Certifications are welcome (CNA, HHA, etc.) but not required. We do offer training and mentorship programs to new caregivers.
