Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct client care
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Must pass an FBI background check
- Must provide a negative TB test
- Be comfortable working with male and female clients
- Be able to lift, pull, and push clients up to 30lbs
- Knowlege or Experience working with clients with dementia
- Possess Patience, Sensitivity, and Compassion for clients who have lost the ability to control their emotions
- Familiar with Redirection Techniques
- Assisting with activities of daily living (dressing, eating, bathing, grooming, toileting, transferring)
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Household chores including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry
- Providing showers
- Personal Care
- Assistance with toileting
- Companionship
- Home Health Aide (HHA) license is preferred
