Your Role as a GNA

As a GNA at Home Helpers, you’ll be entrusted with specialized care responsibilities, ensuring that seniors receive the highest standard of service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal Care and Hygiene Assistance: Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain their comfort and dignity
  • Daily Living Support: Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with daily routines
  • Transportation Services: Safely accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social engagements
  • Meaningful Companionship: Engage with clients to bring joy, companionship, and emotional support to their day
  • Following a Detailed Plan of Care: Execute a specific care plan tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring consistent, high-quality care
  • Professional Communication: Maintain effective, respectful communication with families and our care team
  • Additional Duties as Needed: Adjust to each client’s unique needs with flexibility and compassion
What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate has a deep commitment to quality care and is ready to bring their GNA expertise to our team. Essential qualifications include:

  • Current GNA Certification (required) and a strong knowledge of senior care practices
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience in senior care (preferred but not required for certified GNAs)
  • Access to email and a mobile device for communication
  • Respect for client confidentiality and a commitment to ethical care
