Visiting Angels is looking for a Home Care Aide to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes.

You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
Engage patients in exercises or other activities

QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year professional exp.
Driver's license and clear Motor Vehicle Hist
at least two professional references... not Co-Worker's or Friends
Willing to submit to background Checks
Willing to accept one shift every other weekend

Visiting Angels of West Springfield has official accreditation from the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts. We have also received Home Care Pulse’s award for Best of Home Care - Provider of Choice every year since 2015.

We are currently hiring caregivers! Basic job requirements include: a driver’s license, car, 1 year of caregiving experience, and passing a background check. Certifications are welcome (CNA, HHA, etc.) but not required. We do offer training and mentorship programs to new caregivers.
